Topic
Semantic Driven Materialdesign
and Material Driven Design

1
Students select an association term, such as sporty or playful and connect it to a specific material. They dive into the topic with creatig a moodboard that conveys the intended semantic term.

2
Students develop a material concept that achieves the intended associative effect (e.g. sporty).

3
The material concept is used as a base to design a product according to the principle of material-driven design. The application, function and design of the product are consistently derived from the specific properties of the material.
